THE CHALLENGE: Design a piece de resistance light source for the BBY store.

THE CONTEXT: The Tubular Chandelier is a custom made light installation, designed for the BBY store in Mega Mall, Bucharest. BBY is a clothing manufacturer and retailer, with an established presence in the Romanian apparel market, designing bold, sexy and clubbing-wise cloths. 

THE CONCEPT: The idea for the tubular chandelier came as a result of the need to create a central piece in the store, that reminds somehow the clubbing environment. It was influenced by the colours and atmosphere of the Bucharest nightlife adding to this a touch of femininity and glamour. The chandelier is made of translucent acrylic tubes, lit with RGB light bulbs, in order to create a dynamic and colourful vibe.
