BRAND IDENTITY | PRIVATE LABEL DESIGN

THE CHALLENGE: Create the new brand identity for the Casa din Bran B&B Resort. In 2016, Casa din Bran needed a complete rebranding process, with a strategic plan to resuscitate its outdated vibe. The outcome of the previously made audit revealed that, in order to differentiate from its competitors and attract new target audiences, Casa din Bran had to avoid the Romanian traditional approach, and start being a brand with international relevance.  

THE CONTEXT: Casa din Bran is a B&B in the crisp and picturesque surroundings of the Count Dracula's Castle. Besides the Bran Castle attraction, Casa din Bran provides all the other elements to complete the exciting and almost outlandish experience in a place where anyone can indulge in the simple pleasures of nature, fine dining, and time well spent in a dream-like setting.

THE CONCEPT: The brand positioning - INN YOUR HEART -  offered me the opportunity to explore visual meanings, that could help designing the Casa din Bran brand identity in a more emotional yet contemporary way. I came up with the concept of "The house in the mountain's heart", that brings up the close relationship between the dream-like location and the brand. 

The logo has a negative space composition that enhances the shape of a house on a mountain silhouette. It conveys in a minimalistic approach, the Casa din Bran idyllic scenario. The color palette (earthy brown, white and green accents) and the graphic elements (straight line frames ) are well thought out to highlight the freshness and simplicity of the brand, avoiding any kind of folkloric facets.
